Since I bought his laptop (which works well, I am satisfied with it), I have a problem that persists despite a reinstallation of Windows. When I want to access the sound control panel of the wifi etc near the clock bottom right corner. I have a 2 second freeze, then the plane opens, this freeze appears often. Sometimes it does not freeze but most of the time it freezes. When I reinstalled Windows this freeze was not present, then it appeared some time later, sometimes my mouse freezes too. I had tried to reinstall the USB drivers and the sound drivers. Maybe I will try with another mouse.
once i also had the problem of impossible to start, so i had to reinstall windows.. fortunately i partitioned the disk my important data was healthy
I tried to keep my drivers up to date with the HP software but despite the drivers not being up to date the software continues to say that the drivers are up to date...

@Kho888, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your WiFi and Bluetooth access!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your HP Victus 16.1" Gaming Laptop is experiencing intermittent system freezes, especially when accessing certain system controls like the sound panel and Wi-Fi settings. The fact that the issue reappeared after reinstalling Windows suggests that it could be related to drivers, background processes, or even hardware.
Troubleshooting Steps:
1. Check Task Manager for High Resource Usage
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager.
- Look at the CPU, Disk, and Memory usage.
- If a particular process is consuming too much, take note of it.
2. Update Drivers Manually
Since HP's Support Assistant is not detecting new updates:
- Go to Device Manager (Win + X > Device Manager).
- Manually update drivers for:
- Chipset
- Graphics (NVIDIA/AMD & Intel)
- Wi-Fi & Bluetooth
- USB Controllers
- Audio Drivers
- You can download the latest drivers from:
- HP Support
3. Disable Fast Startup
- Go to Control Panel > Power Options.
- Click Choose what the power buttons do.
- Click Change settings that are currently unavailable.
- Uncheck "Turn on fast startup".
- Save and restart.
4. Perform a Clean Boot
This helps identify if a third-party program is causing the issue:
- Press Win + R, type msconfig, and hit Enter.
- Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services.
- Click Disable all, then go to Startup (Task Manager) and disable all startup apps.
- Restart and check if the issue persists.
Let me know how it goes!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
