HP EliteBook 820 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The HP 3D DriveGuard driver on HP EliteBook 820 G2 does not work on Windows 10 x64 1709.

Current:

https://support.hp.com/de-de/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-elitebook-820-g2-notebook-pc/7343192/s...

The old version is also incorrectly stored via HP SoftPaq Download Manager.

Is there a new, working version?

I tried this, but it only works as a setup.

I need a version that works with the Device Manager or via the SCCM import function.

Here is the current print screen of the HP SoftPaq Download Manager:

Hi:

I would just use a free file utility like 7-zip and extract the exe file that banhien posted into its driver folder name (sp83846).

https://www.7-zip.org/

Then you can browse to the driver folder 7-zip created from the device in the device manager.

I don't know how SCCM works, but the driver folder will provide access to the driver setup information file, which is how it works when you browse to the folder from the device in the device manager.

You can use this method for virtually any driver out there, with a few exceptions.

Of course I tried that.
The driver is not recognized by the Device Manager.

How am I to know what you tried?

If you look at the hardware ID for the 3d driveguard device in the device manager, you will see that the hardware ID is supported by the driver.

Try the more direct driver install...let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer>Have Disk>sp83846>Install Files>Windows 10>accelerometer.

Okay, I've tried everything 🙂  I'm a client engineer at a company.

I have already asked HP directly in Switzerland. No solution was found in the German Forum too. Now HP has referred me to the Business Forum.

I also tried direct in the Windows 10 driver path.

That is very strange.

I have the same HPQ6007 device in my HP 350 G1 and used the very same driver and it worked for me.

I used the manual install method because I have a solid state drive in my notebook.

I didn't want the software.

I wonder if a slightly newer version of the driver will work?

The driver does not work with sp84595.exe too.
This problem only occurs on Windows 1709, on older Windows 1607 the driver works.
