This is for an HP PAVILION, Product ID K9506AV, Windows 10 Home Edition.
Windows 10 was updated from build 1607, to Windows 10 build 1703. After the update I now get this error message when I sign-in. """accelerometerSt.exe, The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application.""" .
I did check for updates from HP web link. I also check out the link shown below but the posting is old and does not address the newer Windows 10 (64 bit), Home Edition.
I always keep Virus Software, Windows 10 software, and HT Software up to date.

Hi, @william31 :
Normally, all you need to do to resolve the problem is to install the newest version of the 3D driveguard driver and restart the PC.
Receives notifications from the integrated accelerometer and automatically parks the hard drive to reduce the risk of damage if the PC is accidentally dropped.
