HP Recommended

I have a HP Pavillion which I rarely use, only for travel, I got it out and it did an update the other day and now asks for a password which it never did before. I answer the password reset questions correrctly but that doesn't work (I don't believe I've ever set password reset questions). Please help, I'm locked out of my own notebook. (n.b. I've tried every password I've ever created.)

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs nor any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password on your product, please Contact HP support in your region. 


For cases related to BitLocker issues, please contact Microsoft Support.
