HP Recommended

After trying all previous posts, this post was the one that got this ridiculous issue fixed.  I did a search on "HP" in the Control Panel and uninstalled all HP-labeled software EXCEPT for the Bang and Olufson audio and Energy Star software.  Note that I did NOT delete any HP folders via Windows Explorer mentioned in this solution post as I was a little nervous about doing that and deleting an important DLL or something the core HP software may need since mine is an HP laptop.  But uninstalling all the HP-named software via Control Panel and then a reboot, then I ran the windows update troubleshooter, then went to the windows update and clicked download and install and the HP error disappeared.
