Last month my Spectre X360 suddenly stopped working. No lights no nothing. Had the battery tested and a DC cable test at BestBuy where I bought it in 2015 before starting medical school. They told me it appears as though the motherboard has burnt and will need to be replaced. I am seeing on this forum that this same problem has happened to MANY other people with this computer. I posted on another forum and basically was contacted and told that I could send it in and pay for it to be repaired. I feel like this is totally unacceptable for a $1,300 computer after 2 years of use (just programs such as word, PDF and ONENOTE). I have seen that other costumers had positive experiences with HP standing behind their product and fixing this faulty product for them. I am hoping this can be resolved for me as well. Also, any way that a recall can be made so that this doesn’t happen to others at innoportune times (mine was the night before a med school test, yikes!). Thank you.

Was contacted by a support agent from HP. They promptly had a box shipped to my house, I sent my unit in and within a week of being contacted they fixed the computer! Great costumer service. It was indeed the motherboard, which was replaced by the tech team. They also replaced the bottom cover of my computer and all adhesives. Computer now works great (I am using it to type this now-after 3 months of no computer). I highly recommend working with HP if you have this same issue!

I'm in the same position as many of these other customers. HP Spectre is 1.5 years old & motherboard is burned out of nowhere. I'm a loyal HP user & love my Spectre. Been out of work for 4 days now & need to find a solutions asap. How to proceed with putting in a ticket or speaking with HP customer service. Thank you!
