Hello everyone and thanks in advance for your help.
I have a 6 months old laptop which never gave me any problems. Today the display glitched for a second and turned black while I was using it. I could not do anything so I forced shut it down by pressing the start button. Then the display was still and glitching so I did the same. Then it resisted for a few minutes while it was on, but after, turned black again. I restarted it again, and now, no matter how many times I restart it, it shows the message Hard Disk Error
Please run the Hard Disk Test in System Diagnostics
I pressed F2 to do that, I did hard drive check, quick check, and it says no hard drive installed. Please check that the power and data cables are connected properly. Not having any idea of what to do, I followed a tutorial which was promising to solve the issue, I pressed F10, went to Boot Options, and switched Legacy Support to Enabled, and Disabled Secure Boot. I saved the changes and restarted it and saved the change again, but the same message pops up, so I solved nothing. Then I thought it might be best to stop doing anything and write my problem here.
What can I do? I am absolutely terrified of losing my data. Thanks a lot to anyone who will help me.

@Irenealta please follow the below steps to identify and resolve this concern:
Step 1: Perform a hard reset
HP Notebook PCs - Performing a Hard Reset or Forced Reset
Step 2: Restore BIOS default setting
Step 3: Test the hard drive using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI (In your case, Skip to Step 4)
Step 4: Reseat the hard drive (here's a video that shows how to re-seat the drive: Click here)
Step 5: If the tests pass, Perform an HP System Recovery
(If none of the above actions resolved the error condition, back up your personal data) and then perform an HP System Recovery on the notebook:
If the issue persists, it's most likely a hardware connection failure and I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options, follow the below steps to get started:
1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/
2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:
3) Enter the serial of your device.
4) Select the country from the drop-down.
5) Click on "Show Options".
Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!
Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,
