I was working on photos earlier today when the screen went blank and"Preparing Automatic Repair" appeared in the screen.  It has been on the screen for the last 10 hours

Before you do anything else ...

 

(1) Press and hold <power> button until notebook switches off

 

(2) Test your hardware Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)
