Hi,
If you plug an external mouse and keyboard in do they work?
If they do, navigate down to the magnifying glass next to the Windows logo at the bottom left of the screen and type in "device manager".
Do any of the listings have a yellow exclamation mark over them? If so try right clicking on them and 'scan for hardware changes', or else if that fails select the device that is at fault and press 'Delete' on the keyboard, then restart the computer. This will allow Windows to find any 'new' devices not in the device manager list.
Good luck and I hope this helps.

Hi,
Sorry to hear you still have issues.. May I recommend the following.
1) Enter BIOS and tell it to Load Defaults and save and exit
IF the problem is not resolved.
2) Download the drivers for your notebook from the HP site and reinstall them. Even though the drivers tell
you all is fine there are settings in the registry etc. that may well be helped by being overwriten.
If these fail to work it may be beneficial to look at reversing your BIOS upgrade back to what worked.
Good luck
