Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

In checking Device Manager after reinstalling Windows 10 64-bit on my older PC, I noticed a listing for Base System Device Driver is missing.  When I search on this, I find a similar/same problem but for a ProLiant Server.  The expert provides a download to fix the problem.  I was tempted to try it but thought to check the community first.  will this work, or do I need something specific for this hardware?  (This would seem to be a common problem when someone has an older HP Notebook and installs A new copy of Windows 10 64-bit.)

it shows under device type: other devices, manufacturer:  unknown, and location: PCI Slot 2

Hi:

You need this driver for that device...

The JMicron Media Card Reader Driver enables the integrated media card slot in supported notebook models that are running a supported operating system.

Thank you Paul, that did it!

Now I notice tat there is one more issue.  The Mobile data protection sensor wont work with Windows 10.  Do you know if there is a solution for this?

You're very welcome.

That one is a tough nut to crack because the W10 driver doesn't work.

See if my instructions at the discussion below work for your model too.  It uses the same hardware version of the driver.
