New laptop. And keyboard backlight on. Screen black. Power button does nothing

Hi,
You could get in contact directly with HP support since the PC is under warranty. You can identify the PC in the link below and get contact options.
https://support.hp.com/us-en/contact/laptops
You can also try a power reset. Turn off the PC by holding the power button until it turns off completely (backlight and LEDs turn off). Follow the guide below.
Are you able to enter BIOS. Turn off the PC by holding the power button. Turn on PC and repeatedly keep pressing ESC until startup menu appears. You can then press F2 to enter diagnostics and perform a system test.
