HP Chromebook 14a-na0000 (443C9AV)

I bought a NEW Chromebook a few months ago in October 2022. Fast forward to this week and the screen keeps glitching. I look up my product by serial and model # on HP’s site and it shows my WARRANTY IS EXPIRED and states it was valid October 2021-November 2022. I didn’t own this computer in 2021. It’s a NEW Chromebook from Office Depot. There is NO OPTION to click to “dispute warranty” once I enter my product info. It simply says EXPIRED.

How do I DISPUTE this and show my proof of purchase?? I already tried the HP warranty page but there is no dispute option. Is there a number I could call to speak to someone live?? I cannot get through the automated system by phone because once I enter my product info the automated agent, like the webpage, tells me my warranty is expired and does not allow me to proceed.

Since the screen is not working properly I can’t get that repaired until HP receives and reviews my receipt for proof of purchase and instates my true warranty period. This is frustrating.

To dispute an expired warranty on your HP Chromebook 14a-Na0000 (443C9AV), try the following steps:

  1. Gather proof of purchase, such as the receipt or invoice showing the purchase date of the laptop.

  2. Contact HP Support through their website or phone (you can find the contact information on the HP support website). Explain the issue and provide your proof of purchase to show that the warranty should still be valid.

  3. If speaking with an HP representative does not resolve the issue, you may want to consider reaching out to the retailer from where you purchased the laptop to see if they can assist in resolving the warranty dispute.

Note: It may be helpful to have your serial number and product information ready when reaching out to HP Support.

As stated, I have already attempted to use the HP product page to verify my warranty and it shows expires and it will not let me proceed further. I have also called an HP 800 # and cannot speak to a live agent. I have my proof of purchase but have NO OPTION available via HP to submit it. This is the problem.

Welcome to the HP support community.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Community's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Community.

I have the same issue. How could I get my new Chromebook warranty??? I bought it from Walmart, delivered home on 02/06/2023, I went on to register it already on 02/08/2023 but it still showed everything expired on 07/28/2022. There is no option to dispute the warranty issue. Please help. Thanks.
