Hi Team,

I'm using an HP OMEN 15t-dh000 laptop with 512 GB of original installed memory storage (SSD). My hard disk is broken now, getting frequent blue screen errors. Issues with bootup. I want to buy a new hard disk, please suggest me whether I can install a 1TB in my laptop. Also when I purchased this laptop, windows was pre-installed on it, i I purchase a new one how will I use my previous windows key, how does that work. Please let me know the steps of installing the new hard disk and suggest few models. Thanks!

Not much has changed from that information other than the fact that so much time has elapsed, it makes more sense to buy a PCIe Gen 4.0 SSD because in most circumstances they cost less than a Gen 3 drive does nowadays.

To reinstall W10, you can make a bootable USB installation flash drive with either the W10 or W11 media creation tools from the links below:

Download Windows 10

Download Windows 11

Since the product key is encrypted in the PC's BIOS, you will not need the product key to reinstall either version of Windows.

After Windows has completed installing, you can install the drivers and available software from your notebook's support page:
