The password box doesn’t appear anymore to login. Even when attempting in safe mode, the password box doesn’t appear.

I suspect a <hard disk> damage

 

Before you do anything else please ...

 

(1) Test your hardware Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

 

Perform < all > tests but focus on <drive> test ( SMART, Short DST [drive self test] )

So my version is 5.9.0.0 so it doesn’t have the option for symptom tests.
