This is supposed to be a WIndows Standard. Device works on my older (WindowsXP) computer, and on Macbook. HP Pavillion registers event error: USB Midi devices not working: Device USB\VID_0763 PID_0015 MI_00\6 1d68778 0 0000 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match. Last Device Instance Id: HDAUDIO\FUNC_01 VEN_8086 DEV_2812 SUBSYS_80860101 REV_1000\4 3b5389fd 0 0201 Class Guid: {4d36e96c-e325-11ce-bfc1-08002be10318} Location Path: Migration Rank: 0xF000FFFFFFFFF122 Present: false Status: 0xC0000719
Additional details: MIDI device is M-Audio Hammer-88. Computer recognizes USB device (in name only). It just seems that it is not recognized as a MIDI device, and/or MIDI just doesn't work.
Does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

You need driver for your M-Audio Hammer-88 device:

"The Hammer 88 is class compliant and does not require an additional driver for the selected operating system." M-Audio support has stated that they have gotten a lot of calls about this problem related to HP computers. Works OK on most other brands. No additional drivers were required on any of the other computer/OS combinations I tried this with. I specifically purchased this laptop (directly on HP website) to use for this purpose and would consider returning it, if I can.
Also have issues with very low volume level for internal speakers, even when volume is set to max. Can hardly hear YouTube videos, Zoom meetings, etc.
Also Windows "Sleep" mode uses more energy/battery than if I just let the computer time-out and shut down on it's own after x minutes of inactivity.

I have a similar problem with the Nektar Impact LX49+ connecting to brand new Envy 360 and an old Canon Printer MP250. I uninstalled the drivers that installed on initial connection. I downloaded and installed the most recent drivers for each from their manufacturer's websites. Did not work. Support at each company says similar things like this can't be their fault. They both still work with current drivers on the six-year old Lenovo that this Laptop was meant to replace. Seriously reconsidering this purchase.

Having same problem with envy x360. Neither Pioneer Controller nor Faderport are controllable but Windows recognizes both. I had already contact with Serato and it seems to be a problem (Lenovo and Dell had same problem) of i5 11th gen with the current audio driver. Dell already solved the problem with an update of audiodriver.
