Hi, I am a technician in an IT department, I use an HP laptop at work.
I want to update the G5 docking stations but they no longer work and I get this message
The HP firmware installer configuration file could not be loaded. installation cannot continue
So I wanted to update the BIOS of my machine with sp152550 but I got this message telling me that the firmware is not compatible.
I also tried installing HP Support
Installations de UEFI
Do you have any idea about the problem I'm having?
Thanks in advance

Hi
I don't understand why it creates a USB drive, install the BIOS firmware directly. I have the same model and I have no problem with that BIOS version.
I think you have installed windows by changing the UEFI mode to legacy in the BIOS. I recommend you to check what changes you have made in your BIOS.

The problem I see is that it is very strange that it does not have any version in the BIOS in the Device Manager, since the purchase of this laptop should have a version there,
The HP BIOS does not put the driver that Windows Update does, which is in my opinion dangerous, so before using the one that indicates windows update, update the BIOS from HP, then use the windows update driver and install it without reboots, otherwise if you do not do that you run the risk that windows uptate damages the BIOS (I have seen it before).
This is not the latest version of the BIOS, it is this one:
