So?

HP PartSurfer

Motherboard for that S/N indicates No Windows Operating System:

7th line down.

9HP68EAL71761-001ASSY BU IDS UMA i5-10210U 66Pro14G3

Then it shows again on the 7th line from the very bottom of the report:

9HP68EAL78085-001
SPS-MB UMA i5-10210U
Motherboard (system board) UMA i5-10210U

HP's records show the notebook did not come with Windows.

If you purchased the notebook locally, then I suggest you go back there and get a Windows product key because the notebook was sold by HP with FreeDOS, not Windows.

That's all the information we can provide.

Hi:

If your notebook came with Windows from HP, the product key should be encrypted in the BIOS.

Download and run the free Showkey plus app from the Microsoft Store.

ShowKeyPlus - Microsoft Apps

It should provide a report of the OEM Windows product key and the version of W10 the key is good for.

it says: "OEM ket not present in this frimware"

Please give me an answer as quick as possible!

That's not good.

I have a feeling that the PC came with FreeDOS from HP and those notebooks would not have product keys.

Either that, or HP installed the wrong motherboard in your notebook which was meant to be installed in the notebooks with FreeDOS.

Enter your notebook's serial number in the search window at the link below and it should tell you if the PC should have come with Windows.

HP PartSurfer

If it indicates FreeDOS, then you will have to purchase a W11 Pro product key.

If it indicates Windows 10 /Windows 11 Pro, then you will need to contact HP for a resolution to the problem since this is a peer-to-peer forum and we don't work for or represent HP.

where does it need to indicate?

When you have the report, post the link to it because the info is sometimes hard to find.

What's to get?

You enter your PC's serial number in the Partsurfer website and it will provide a report of the components HP installed in the notebook and it should also provide info regarding if the motherboard came with or without a windows product key.

Here's a Partsurfer report for my old HP 350 G1 notebook:

HP PartSurfer

As you can see, it indicates that my notebook came from HP with Windows 8.1 Pro.

4th line in the report.

G4S61UT737556-001DPK, WIN 8.1 PRO
