Hi @Devucoco,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for reaching out. While your HP Chromebook x360 14a-ca0000 (567C9AV) can use Linux (Beta) through ChromeOS, please note the following:
HP does not provide official support for Linux (Beta) features on Chromebooks.
This includes installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux-based applications and environments.
Linux (Beta), also known as Crostini, is a feature developed and managed by Google as part of the ChromeOS platform. If you choose to use it, please understand:
- It is optional
- It is supported by Google, not HP
- Any issues or bugs with Linux apps or the Terminal are outside the HP support scope
1. Installing Apps on ChromeOS
A. Android Apps via Google Play Store
- Click the Launcher (circle) at the bottom-left.
- Open the Play Store.
- Search for an app (e.g., Zoom, Spotify).
- Click Install, and it’ll work just like on your phone.
B. Chrome Extensions from Chrome Web Store
- Open Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store.
- Search for extensions (e.g., Grammarly, Dark Reader).
- Click Add to Chrome to install and use in your browser.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
