Hi @Devucoco,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out. While your HP Chromebook x360 14a-ca0000 (567C9AV) can use Linux (Beta) through ChromeOS, please note the following:

HP does not provide official support for Linux (Beta) features on Chromebooks.
This includes installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Linux-based applications and environments.

Linux (Beta), also known as Crostini, is a feature developed and managed by Google as part of the ChromeOS platform. If you choose to use it, please understand:

  • It is optional
  • It is supported by Google, not HP
  • Any issues or bugs with Linux apps or the Terminal are outside the HP support scope

1. Installing Apps on ChromeOS

A. Android Apps via Google Play Store

  1. Click the Launcher (circle) at the bottom-left.
  2. Open the Play Store.
  3. Search for an app (e.g., Zoom, Spotify).
  4. Click Install, and it’ll work just like on your phone.

B. Chrome Extensions from Chrome Web Store

  1. Open Chrome and go to the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Search for extensions (e.g., Grammarly, Dark Reader).
  3. Click Add to Chrome to install and use in your browser.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
