Hi guys its me again. I returned my laptop to HP for warranty and finally after the 2nd time they managed to solve my laptop's touchpad issue.. They updated the BIOS of the laptop as well as the driver of the touchpad but they also replaced my touchpad with a new one.. So far I am using my laptop for almost 3 weeks and no issue encountered. Hope this will resolve the issue of majority here.

I think Intel paid some shady HP workers to mess AMD's intel and nvidia killer computers up, I wounder is it only AMD laptops with the same trackpad?
Because oh boy, this thing runs everything on maxed out settings after a 16 GB ram upgrade, askes for more and runs COOL on my lap, bed the machine is.... an Intel killer in short.

Nah if anyone is to blame it is synaptics. According to what one of the case managers told me (which btw is really dumb) " this is not HP'S fault, we just buy components from synaptic, they are the ones to blame"
Of course this is hp's fault too for not throughly testing this machines.
The computer is really good. The Intel version is good too.. I haven't heard anyone who is not happy with the specs.. The only bad thing is the touch pad.
I got a new computer from them and it's awesome. That is why I recommend everyone to just get it replaced.

I posted on this thread about 20 pages ago. I had an HP N010dx with the control zone trackpad. I had to take it back to best buy because I couldn't take the trackpad issues. BUT I ended up getting another HP (an upgrade) with a control zone trackpad, and it works fine. I've had it for 3 months.
So it must just be certain models that have that problem. The computer I have now is an Hp X360, model 15-u011dx. It has a core i7. It runs great but the display shows grey vertical lines.

such a beatiful machine, so perfect... the trackpad just ruined it for me.
I only buy HP since 2001, and this REALLY put a dent into my loyalty, next time I search for laptops I wont exclude other companies from my search, I hear dell has really gotten their **bleep** together after that monster 9500 and 7600go disasters, shaky very, but the words around town and THEIR trackpads are fine.
I was sold with my first HP when they litarally picked it up in the morning and returned my first laptop with no dead pixels on the following morning for free, totally, the thing runs Skyrim! god bless you AMD, but the trackpad on this FX engineering sample is actually pissing me off pritty hard.
I have a hunch, some one got paid and Intel is well catagorized for paying people in the EU to fook amd up somehow.

the most important thing is A the display, and B the keyboard because its a computer, laptop tablet or whatever.
take it back, get your money back, call the cops if you have to, dont allow ANY ONE to disrespect you like that, your mother or father would say the same thing.,
get a new laptop with that money except this time, done make the same mistake we both made.
Open it RIGHT THERE in the store and test it, im doing it next time, gawd this trackpad pisses me off.

agan this is not intel paying HP to screw up AMD because my hp has an i5 and also has the problem.
The problem to me is something i mentioned a few pages back. Jeff, another user with problems, had thought that the problems might be related to IRQs. I think i agree with his theory too. basically the touchpad IRQ is being shared with the USB one if im not mistaken..this causes problems syncing the device.
bottom line: Return the machine, beause this CANNOT be solved. better get it replace while its still under warranty and get something better and for free, you might even be able to keep the faulty machine 😉
