I have been waiting for 6 hours.  After the, I tried power off/ done the f2, f8, etch…but the screen would return to Please wait…

I can’t use my laptop.

If system update takes too long, press and hold <power> button until notebook switches off.

 

(1) Test your hardware Using the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)

(2) If drive test fails 

- Short DST [ drive self test ] fails => please replace drive and reinstall operating system.
