Our top of the line Spectre laptop purchased at the end of 2017 won't power up. I have spoken to the HP representative and have a quote to replace the motherboard for $700. This seems rather outrageous as it looks like this has been a recurring problem with this product and HP has done absolutely nothing to resolve it. Rather, they charge an exorbitant amount to repair something they should have recognized as a flaw long ago. I'm not sure where I go from here.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
