Hi. Every time I boot my French-language HP Envy 15-j101sf, I get the following error message:

 

Message de l’application : AccelerometerSt.exe - Erreur d’application : L’application n’a pas réussi à démarrer correctement (0xc000007b). Cliquez sur OK pour fermer l’application. 

 

In searching for a solution, I see that this is often due to the 3D DriveGuard, but I see no way to update that on my laptop. I currently have version 6.0.28.1, and the HP Support Assistant doesn't show any available updates; nor can I find anything on HP's site. Can anyone help me figure out how to get rid of this error? Thank you in advance!

Hi,

 

Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP 3D DriveGuard and select Uninstall.

 

When this has completed, restart the notebook.

 

When windows has reloaded, download and install the version of HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link.

 

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp78001-78500/sp78033.exe
