Does not mention a version number. It just says a "newer" one is installed. I really believe this is a bug. I'll look for a way to report. I'm also checking with IT to see how they installed it in the first place and if it's a known issue.

Hi.

Unfortunately that's not an option because this is a company laptop and I can't just go back in time losing what else has been done to the PC.

How can I report this bug?

If it is a company notebook, why do you uninstall software ? Was there a reason for it ?

Kind regards

In this company we have that freedom. It's not like uninstalling an anti-virus program or turning off the firewall. I highly enjoy having some of that freedom, because I've worked with computers for many years, since the 80's, and professionally for more than 20 years.

And, yes, I much prefer a GNU/Linux OS, where this kind of errors would "never" happen because of the way it's built.

The reason I uninstalled it is because I don't believe in a "if it works, don't touch" philosophy 🙂 I've installed some more HP utilities to see if I could fix one unrelated bug, and after some months in trial, i wished to clean that up.

Hello @jmsss

I cannot evaluate this further from a distance. Try your luck by analyzing the existing problem, you should have experience with this after so many years.

Good luck
