Dear HP Support,

I am the owner of a personal HP ProBook 430 G6 (serial: >Do not include the product serial number or any private information<, product: 6EB42ES, purchased 2019). I forgot the BIOS/power-on password. The screen shows "Authentication Failed – System Locked" after wrong attempts. This is not a stolen device—it's my laptop.

Please provide the master unlock code via email. I can send proof of ownership (receipt photo) if needed.

Unfortunately, you will need to contact an HP agent for problems with BIOS passwords.

Here is HP's official policy regarding BIOS passwords:

 

According to the Community's Rules of Participation:

 

4d. No posts shall include instructions/directions intended to bypass or subvert security mechanisms such as lock screens, BitLockers, BIOS lock, passwords, fingerprint/biometry scanners, PINs, or any other safety measures.

 

Therefore, this topic is being locked. If you would like help resetting the password on your product, please Contact HP support in your region.
