dang, you also have service running and it says that? It says the same for me, after asking me to do privacy stuff then giving an error if I click any privacy options. Says that exact thing.

I also cannot get special function keys to function with powertools, I had hope for you because your pc actually did ANYTHING when you pressed it. we're screwed, I may return this laptop.

Yes, below is all I see when pressing the button. Launching the "System Event Utility" does nothing for this. I wont return the laptop over this as it was a stellar price, but it is frustrating. I think this is hard locked by HP at this point and they will need to release software to make it work for us. Just my thoughts.
