Yesterday my laptop battery was running low so I charge it overnight for the first time. Then the next day,I use it as usual, but the charging light blinks 8 and a half time every time when I plugged in the charging cable and it won't charge it.So now my laptop battery is very low. What can I do to solve this problem?

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

Is your notebook on the order of 5+ years old?
Is it the original battery?
Does the notebook still operate as normal if the battery is removed and the power adapter connected?
The blink code is an error message.

So it is new, less than one year old and still in warranty?
Is that accurate?

If it is less than a year since you purchased it, the one-year free factory warranty should still be valid.

You have a few choices.
The simplest one is for me to ask a Moderator to help connect you to a warranty team at HP to arrange for warranty repair of your notebook.
If that is not viable, you can have the system board replaced by a notebook or PC shop. The downside is that when it is replaced by other than HP you will no longer have an OS associated with your notebook. The OS activation key is kept on a Microsoft Licensing server and associated with a specific system board.
