That's so unfortunate. Glad that you got back laptop with replaced mainboard. Arey yaar..updating BIOS is no necessity, we all feel that urge to assume BIOS update will bring some magical performance gain or feature support, which 99% of the time is false. Let's ignore any BIOS update. As long as the laptop is working good, do not mess with the BIOS-UEFI updating.

 

yes, the update looks like it is for HP 15 Notebook series laptops. But, from F.24, it is showing up as F.32! The reason for the update says some UEFI security improvements. Well, for many of us using laptops for personal/work use, this UEFI security update isn't a necessity.
