Unfortunately, I don't have any idea what would be causing that warning.

My library has unpdated their wirless Wi-fi. I believe my system is still using the old wireless using 54Mbs. So I cant get connected.

I need a USB wireless adapter DRIVER probably one using 150 Mbs. There are many external USB around. .  . What I need is a driver. But I do not want to corrupt my system again. Any idea if there is one Link I can DOWNLAD TO update.

Hi:

The wireless card in your notebook is limited to 54 MBPS and that cannot be changed by any drivers.

The card would have to be replaced with a wireless N card, and there was no such card for your model.

You cannot install any other wireless card in that model series because there is a lock placed in the BIOS that prevents the installation of unsupported wireless cards.

If you want faster connection speeds your only option with that notebook would be to purchase an external usb wireless network adapter that works with XP.

Hi,

Now i have 2 wi-fi Lan connections shown on my Task Bar. But the 150 Mbs is only slightly better. Do I need to Uninstall the Other one Lan connection or is it safe to leave them 2.

Another thing-opening yr mail i have to then navigater to another page on the Hb forum. Clicking on it, I get memo on screen-No Internet connection; Your Computer is Offline. But on the Task Bar-both the lan Conections says -connected and excellent

But on the previous page your reply is still there and up and running. Only when I click on your reply to go to the Forum page that  there is no I.Connection. I am typing this mail on a desk top but Dont encounter this problem.

Do I have to go to Outlook to go to a page to tick the Online box. Cant remember which page to neavigate to. Any ideas??

Hi:

You can leave the other wireless connection enabled.

As long as you know that you are connected to the faster adapter, you should be fine.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to help you with the other problem.

Hi,

I am not sure now if its the PC or the library Wi-Fi that is the problem. Still having problems connecting to the internet.

My PC cannot recognise the USB Adapter @ times and the 2nd Lan is not shown on the task bar-on and off. Today it reported, Shockwave Flash crash-what is this piece of crap anyway and whats it for; how to reload it??

I thought of giving this HP a 2nd life. Now not so sure if to toss it into the bin!  And use my other Win 10 HP 14 " laptop; My other Toshiba Satellite Pro[same as ze2000] is fabulous. It runs and runs. No hassle.

Hi Paul,

First sorry for my poor english (I'm French) 😉

My Pavilion ze2000 had got too many viruses, so I decided to format my drive and  re-install Win XP Pro SP3.

As you know HP has retired support for that product.

So could you please help me to re-install drivers with yellow sticker on my device manager?

1. Multimedia audio controller

2. Network controller

3. PCI Modem

4. SM Bus controller

5. USB Controller

6. Video controller[VGA compatible].

I really hope you will able to hep me.
