Hi:
The parts list for your notebook indicates that it has a Cupertino motherboard.
This BIOS update (7.16) from a similar model with the same motherboard should work on yours.
Driver - HP Pavilion G5410sc Desktop PC | HP® Customer Support
Make sure that you are running a supported operating system when updating the BIOS.
Memory: HP has removed the specs for the motherboard your PC has, but this old discussion I was involved in indicated the official HP specs were 2 x 4 GB, but the chipset should support 2 x 8 GB.
Solved: HP-657002-001(H-Coupertino2-H61 uATX) Max RAM - HP Support Community - 6870872
The crucial memory website indicates the max is 2 x 4 GB.

To update the BIOS (Basic Input/Output System) on your Foxconn 2ABF motherboard, you'll need to obtain the latest BIOS firmware from the official Foxconn website or motherboard manufacturer's website. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it:
1. Identify Your Motherboard Model:
Make sure you have the correct model name of your Foxconn motherboard, which is "2ABF" in your case. You can usually find the model name printed on the motherboard itself.
2. Visit the Manufacturer's Website:
Go to the official Foxconn website or the motherboard manufacturer's website and navigate to the "Support" or "Downloads" section.
3. Locate the BIOS Updates:
Search for the BIOS updates or firmware downloads for your specific motherboard model. You may find it under the "BIOS" or "UEFI BIOS" section.
4. Check Compatibility:
Ensure that you are downloading the BIOS update that specifically supports your motherboard model and CPU (Intel i5-2500) since you upgraded from i3-2100 to i5-2500.
5. Download the BIOS Update:
Download the latest BIOS update file to your computer. It might be available as a ZIP archive or an executable file. Make sure to save it to a location where you can easily find it later.
6. Prepare a USB Flash Drive:
Format a USB flash drive using the FAT32 file system, and create a folder named "BIOS" on the USB drive.
7. Extract and Copy the BIOS File: MyLabCorp.com
If the downloaded BIOS update is in ZIP format, extract the contents and copy the BIOS file (usually with a .ROM or .BIN extension) into the "BIOS" folder on the USB flash drive.
8. Perform BIOS Update:
Insert the USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer, then restart the computer. During the boot process, enter the BIOS setup by pressing the appropriate key (e.g., Del, F2, F10) as indicated on the initial boot screen.
9. BIOS Update Utility:
In the BIOS setup utility, find the "Update BIOS" or "Flash BIOS" option. Select the USB flash drive as the source for the BIOS update and follow the on-screen instructions to perform the update. Be cautious and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully, as incorrect BIOS updates can cause permanent damage to your motherboard.
10. Restart and Verify:
After the BIOS update is complete, restart your computer. Check the BIOS version to ensure that it has been successfully updated. If done correctly, your CPU (i5-2500) should be recognized properly, and the "unsupported CPU" message should disappear.
Remember to follow the manufacturer's guidelines and precautions while updating the BIOS, and do not turn off or interrupt the process during the update. If you're unsure or uncomfortable performing the BIOS update yourself, consider seeking assistance from a professional or contacting the manufacturer's support for guidance.

Hi, @shqipronn
What is the full model number or product number of your PC?
Use this guide to find that information.
Most likely, support for it has been retired by HP since it is more than 10 years old.
I would have to see if the BIOS update (if one exists) can be found anyplace else.
I believe the last BIOS update for that motherboard was v7.16.

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I don't know why that is happening or what to do to fix it because according to this discussion, i5-2xxx processors are supported.
