HP ENVY x360 Laptop - 13-ay0021nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello I unboxed my new laptop today and everything was working fine. Though the drivers were not up to date so I had to update them. After installing all the drivers I had to restart and then when it booted back up the HP Command Center software was no longer working as it use to. The f11 dedicated shortcut for the software no longer rings up the HP Command Center software either. I was wondering if there was any fix to this problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled it to see if that would fix it but nothing works. Though I am satisfied with the purchase, constant fan at high speeds seems a little much when just browsing the web and I would like to manually control the speed with the dedicated software but it is no longer working.

@Bon4,

I reviewed your post and I understand that the HP command center software is not working after updating all the drivers.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

How did you reinstall the software?

Meanwhile, I recommend you reinstall the software using the recovery manager and check if it helps.

As of right now after updating drivers again it does seem to work but there doesn't seem to be a "quiet" thermal profile that this laptop had when I first unboxed my laptop. Do you know what this specific fix would be? Maybe more drivers to install?

@Bon4,

I am glad to hear that the HP command center is working now.

Refer to the below article to select the thermal profile. (Refer under "Configuring HP Command Center")
