@Envy-001,

You're absolutely on the right track—and kudos for the smart workaround with the USB adapter. If you're planning to replace the internal Wi-Fi card in your HP ENVY x360 14-es0000 series, here are some reliable, compatible alternatives that offer better performance and stability than the Realtek card:

Recommended Internal Wi-Fi Cards (M.2 2230 Form Factor)

  1. Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 (2x2) + Bluetooth 5.3
    • Top-tier option with excellent range and speed.
    • Supports Wi-Fi 6E (6 GHz band) if your router supports it.
    • Compatible with your laptop model.
  2. Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX200 or AX201 (2x2) + Bluetooth 5.1
    • Great balance of performance and compatibility.
    • Widely supported and stable on Windows 11.
  3. Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 (2x2) + Bluetooth 4.2
  • Budget-friendly and still very reliable.
  • Good fallback if Wi-Fi 6 isn’t a priority.

Just make sure the replacement card is M.2 2230 (Key E) and not a CNVi-only module, unless your motherboard supports CNVi (AX201 is CNVi; AX200 is not).

Hi @Envy-001

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

If you are unable to enable Wi-Fi on your HP ENVY x360 14 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 14-es0000 due to a missing Realtek network adapter, follow these troubleshooting steps:

Step 1: Check in Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Look for Network Adapters and check if the Realtek network adapter is listed.
  3. If it is not listed, click on View in the Device Manager menu and select Show hidden devices.

Step 2: Update or Reinstall Network Adapter Driver

  1. Visit the Official HP Support site.
  2. Enter your product's serial number or product name (HP ENVY x360 14-es0000).
  3. Select your operating system (Windows 11).
  4. Look for the network adapter driver, specifically for Realtek or the relevant manufacturer, and download the latest version.
  5. Install the driver by following the on-screen instructions.

Step 3: Check BIOS Settings

  1. Restart your laptop and press F10 to enter the BIOS setup.
  2. Navigate to the Advanced tab.
  3. Ensure that Wireless LAN is enabled.
  4. Save and exit the BIOS settings.

Step 4: Windows Network Troubleshooter

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.
  2. Click Network Troubleshooter.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and resolve network issues.

Step 5: Reset Network Settings

  1. Go to Settings > Network & Internet.
  2. Scroll down and click Network reset.
  3. Confirm the reset and restart your computer.

After performing these steps, your Wi-Fi functionality should be restored, and the Realtek network adapter should appear in the Device Manager.

HP Envy Realtek wifi network adapter is not recognized in device manager.  Removed case checked network adapter. Purchased USB network adapter which works great. Suspect bad pc Realtek network adapter.

I've heard many issues with the Realtek network adapter.  Can you let me know a better compatible network adapter?  I plan on purchasing a new network adapter.

Thank you,

Hello Hawks_Eye,

After reconsidering my solution to no wifi I replaced the installed Realtek N19618-005 WLAN 6E RLTEK CHAMPAGNE AX 2X2 FOX with the Realtek wireless card N19350-003 compatible replacement spare part for Realtek RTL8852CE M.2 2230 PCI Express WiFi 6E 802.11ax Bluetooth 5.3. This way I can reuse the existing Realtek drivers and I won't need to load the Intel drivers.  I installed the card and my wifi and blue tooth  is now working.  Hopefully it will last.

Thank you for all your help,

Envy-001
