HP Spectre x360.

has WEBCAM in the screen.

with screen flipped up, when I use SKYPE, the small light beside the webcam comes ON, and shines straight into my eyes, as I look at the webcam.

HOW to turn that light OFF, or to to DIM it somewhat?

do NOT reply to use TAPE to cover the light

do not reply to TURN OFF WEBCAM

do NOT reply to open the case and disable the bulb

I want to turn the Light OFF< or DIM, so I can skype with teh webcam itself ON, but the light OFF

thanks

Hello @aoz987,

Welcome back to the HP Support Forums!

I came across your post about the Webcam LED, and wanted to assist you!

I looked into the issue for you, and unfortunately, the only way to turn off that LED is to disable the Webcam.

I bought a 2017 spectre x360 13 and have the same problem. Is the webcam light supposed to be on all the time when using Skype? It's really annoying!
