Hi

I was trying to pin the situation down "I got a new Hp laptop with Cd-drive."

For extracting any downloaded items (iso files) I use AnyBurn.

Is there a Public Library or Relative or similar where you could use their device as a one-off?

Try a simple copy, and also research a bit-for-bit copy, like a clone, as some games can refer to the installed disc for verification.

look up XCOPY and see if it suits.

If in doubt please ask.

Hi

So you have a DVD installed in the PC and want to know how to install software from it?

I cannot match the details, HP support is abysmal ATM.

An SKU would pin it down.

However I am unable to see a DVD drive for a similar model.

Where is the software coming from?

I have a game on a CD, but can't install it because I can't put in because there are no CD port/drive.
The problem is how to install without a CD driv

Hi,

Your options are to get an external USB DVD drive:

Example:

https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_i_3_7?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=usb+dvd&sprefix=us...

or to copy the disk to a USB drive on different computer and then use USB drive.

Hope it helps,

David

Do I just inset cd and then click copi?

Thank you very much for helping😊

It depends. First try creating a folder on the pendrive. Now copy all from the CD into folder on pendrive. Put pendrive in PC and click on the setup of the game and see if it installs.

Let me know,

David
