Hi!
Using EliteBook 840 G2, Win10 64bit and Firefox.
Aside of Windows Hello, biometric reader is usless.
I have installed HP Security Manager (via driver search on HP site accordingly do my notebook's model and OS).
HP SM was installed, asked for verification, Windows login was still possible, but there's no way to manage sites' password in any way although the box to monitor sites is checked.
HP - please let me know how can I fully use my notebook's functions?!

Hi @rimszot
In addition to the suggestions provided by @Dragon-Fur
you may consider the free tiny app KeePassX >> https://www.keepassx.org/
Just in case you do not know what KeePassX is, here is a short description…
KeePassX is an application for people with extremly high demands on secure personal data management. It has a light interface, is cross platform and published under the terms of the GNU General Public License (open source app)
KeePassX is a reliable password and information manager approved for high level secure and restricted environments.
KeePassX saves many different information e.g. user names, passwords, urls, attachments and comments in one single database. For a better management user-defined titles and icons can be specified for each single entry. Furthermore the entries are sorted in groups, which are customizable as well. The integrated search function allows to search in a single group or the complete database.
KeePassX offers a little utility for secure password generation. The password generator is very customizable, fast and easy to use. Especially someone who generates passwords frequently will appreciate this feature.
The complete KeePassX database is always encrypted either with AES (alias Rijndael) or Twofish encryption algorithm using a 256 bit key. Therefore the saved information can be considered as quite safe. KeePassX uses a database format that is compatible with KeePass Password Safe. This makes the use of that application even more favourable.

Have you heard the story about breaking security ? Many sites now won't allow browsers keep passwords. Under Firefos, a box may popup and ask you to keep password or not.
This site keeps password for few hours (I think) That means you can close Firefox or Chrome or ... and open this site again with thin 3 hours or so, you don't need to enter password.
Regards.

@banhien
Many thanks for your swift answer.
You will agree that solution you propose - to have browser remembering my passwords so I do not have to type them anymore while visiting sites - is a different philosophy than having these sites locked always, meaning that each time I visit and want to log in I have to do it consciously, but instead of typing password I can just sweep the figer through the biometric device (just like at Windows start).
I am not sure if HP Security Manager was using passwords stored in the browsers or if the idea was to have HP Security Manager (which is itself password protected by Windows Account or finger sweep) is storing and protecting them.
So - is there a newer version of software that HP developped that will work, or biometric device in my HP, aside of logging to windows is of no further use?
Thanks and all best,
Rimszot

Apologies for jumping in unannounced.
Assuming you are talking about "HP Client Security" manager:
Open Client Security Manager > Dashboard > Password Manager
tab Browser Integration
Install the extension(s) for the browser(s) offered in the list
Afterwards, log out of your account (or Restart the computer) and log in
Check for any difference
As I recall, last time I used the software, it did work in whatever version of Firefox I had (three versions ago or so). I don't remember if Chrome likes Client Secuity, but Chrome is usually tolerant of security software extensions.

Thanks for your suggestion but unfortunately it does not work for me.
HPSM shows 3 inactive browser icons: Edge's status says integrated (automatically I suppose as I did nothing), Firefox and Chrome's status is 'not installed'. There's no button or option to click on to install any browser expansion. So I guess it is not supported anymore although sometimes notification box pop up in lower right corner (but nothing happens when I click on it).
Anyway, for a regular user as myself, who looks for working and quick solutions, these integration problems between browser and HP soft are not acceptable. For many this is a minor or no issue at all, but I am quite dissapointed with the relatively easy thing not working properly in a business class-laptop. For now I will stick to typing passwords manually.
Maybe there's some hope in this:

I don't have a version of Client Security installed that works with Edge -- actually, at the moment, I don't have any security software that integrates / works with Edge. I will look into that.
I think we are likely talking about different security software and nothing I say is relevant.
I am sorry we could not help.
Last comments for those reading:
HP Client Security does not save websites / passwords in the browser; the software saves the information in a database within the security software control.
Client Security Software newer versions (at this writing):
Information sheet:
Software V9.3.12.2610RevA
OR
Information sheet
Software V9.3.13.2627RevA
Client_Security_Password_Mgr_1B
Client_Security_Password_Mgr_Browser_1
Reminder:
Dashboard > Password Manager > Settings
Security Features > Click through UAC
Verify setting for Windows Logon Security
If Checked, Windows Logon Security disables Windows Hello.

@Dragon-Fur
Thanks for your efforts to solve this.
Seems I am probably trying to use outdated software - I was using HP Security Manager file available on the driver page for HP EliteBook G2, which is:
HP Client Security Manager
9.0.0.2116 Rev.A 220.9 MB Oct 13, 2016
Files you mention seem newer (also what I see on your screenshots looks quite different than what I had).
I would definitely try installing these newer versions you linked. But again:) a slight problem.
Both files seem corrupt:
sp85699.exe which is 129MB downloads only to ca. 78MB
sp87636.exe which is 128MB downloads only to ca. 56MB
When running them, Windows warns about the file, I run it despite of warning, and when trying to unpack I get this:
If possible could you check if same happens for you? If yes is it possible to post links to uncorrupted files?
The way that HP Client Security works, that you mention, is exactly what I need. Data stored in the application, not in the browers itself. I hope that by downloading newest version it will work.
Thanks and all the best,
Rimszot

I don't know the answer to why the installation files won't download to the correct / complete size.
I downloaded and extracted the setup files (did not install) for sp85699.exe 132167 KB
Noted Dependency: Microsoft .NET version 4.6.1 must be installed on the system.
Package downloads and extracts as expected.
- Perhaps try a different browser to download the file(s)?
Software must fully download - "partial" download won't install.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
This version is the "next in line" to what you have now (supercedes sp77916.exe)
Information file
Software V9.2.0.2293 (Windows 10 only) 148063 KB
If I think of anything else, I will post back.

Thanks!
@IT_WinSec makes a good point.
There are a number of security managers "out there".
I have Client Security V9.3.9.40 installed (and it is functional). I actually use the Password Manager in my Avast Security software for most sites / purposes.
I think (from what I recall) that Norton software also has a password manager -- if it does, the software is likely tied to one of the purchased Norton security software options.
