i bought a hp victus 16.1 inch gaming laptop about two weeks ago. I began noticing just two days after the purchase that the laptop is..struggling. For example- sometimes when I refresh the start page, the screen freezes for a few milliseconds in which all the applications disappear for a blink of an eye before returning to normal.
What's more- when I am watching YouTube on that laptop, the video keeps lagging behind. It randomly freezes at a particular frame (please note that the audio doesn't freeze.) and then the video jumps forward to where the audio is to sync with, it will stay fine for a minute or something before the freezing starts again.
The thing that infuriates me the most is that I can't play any game on it. (HP Victus is supposed to be a gaming laptop right?). I downloaded 'Enter The Gungeon' and 'BioShock Remastered'- definitely not the most graphically demanding games in the world and even when I set the graphic settings for those two at high performance, they stutter a lot.
I have watched many videos and read support columns to fix this issue, but no matter how many times I optimize my laptop, the situation doesn't improve. I would be grateful of someone can explain what I should do now.
I am sure that the problem is on the software side because my cpu is an intel i5 11400H and my gpu is a rtx 1650 and I have also installed the latest Nvidia drivers and updated the BIOS too.
