The Omniplus password management program keeps reinstalling itself after I uninstall. I cannot find any file with Omniplus in the name, There does not seem to be anyway to unistall it without it reinstalling itself. Any ideas?

Hi @larry3333
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
I understand that OmniPlus keeps reinstalling itself even after you uninstall it. This can happen if the application is linked to another HP application, a Windows startup item, or a scheduled task that reinstalls the software automatically.
Please try the following steps:
Uninstall OmniPlus
- Go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps.
- Locate OmniPlus and select Uninstall.
- Restart the computer.
Close the Background Process
Before doing anything, make sure the software isn't actively running.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open the Task Manager.
- Look for anything labeled OmniPlus (or Omni).
- Right-click the process and select End Task.
Remove the Browser Extension
Since you cannot find the program files, it is highly likely that OmniPlus is installed as a hidden extension inside your web browser.
- Open your browser (e.g., Chrome, Edge, or Firefox).
- Navigate to the Extensions or Add-ons manager.
- Look for OmniPlus and click Remove or Uninstall.
I hope this help, I would also request you to please share me the Product number you are using.
Take care and have an amazing day!
I'm an HP Employee.

As stated... the HP Omni Plus app (which seems to be a password manager similiar to samsungs or googles) will reinstall itself.
So the solution above is only a temporary one.
How do you stop it from reinstalling itself?
The only way i found is to disable the HP Support Assistant windows Service... but that then breaks the HP Support Asst application... so it's really not a very good "fix".
I tried calling tech support, but they were worthless as far as giving help. They have you do what you suggested, go to Add/Remove Programs, remove HP Omni+ which removes the pre-installer in the system tray (because it wants you to click on it which then downloads the entire app). It also removes the Service from WIndows Services. So once it's gone, then Tech Support wants you to show them what you're talking about, once they remote in. It's a total joke.
This app is like a virus! I don't understand why HP App Support doesn't give the customer the option to install it, or not... by making it an Optional Install...
But they didnt. They made it mandatory! Which is why the HP Support Assistant will, at some point, realize that it's been removed from my laptop, and then download the pre-installer and service, agian and again and again.
