Ophcrack doesn't work in  my case. To reset HP laptop password, my recommendation is UUkeys Windows Password Recovery. It uses a usb drive to create reset disk. The best part of this method is that there is no data loss duing the whole password reset procedure.

The password problem happens to most of us and you're not alone.  Use a Windows installation disc to reset windows 7 password from outside the Windows box, or use the third-party live CDs: Ophcrack, Offline NT Password & Registry Editor, Hiren's BootCD.

I used ophcrack to reset my win 7 admin password, it keep says "not table found".
