Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have changed my HDD from old laptop and trying to reinstall windows 10. It does not load new hard drive and asks me to insert installation media for driver. I couldn't find SATA controller driver on HP support website for this laptop model for Windows 10. What to do? Please help.

Hi:

You probably have some other issue than needing a SATA driver for your notebook, such as improperly created installation media.

W10 needs no drivers to install on your notebook.

In any event, I have zipped up and attached the SATA drivers for your notebook's chipset below.

Download and unzip the file to its folder.

Copy the folder to a USB flash drive.

When you get to the part where you are getting that message, select the Load Driver option and browse to the driver folder you copied to the flash drive.

If you check the box, it will only include the compatible driver.

Click Next and hopefully W10 will install.
