So I am fairly sure I already know the answer after looking around. I honestly don't understand why they would not implement a BIOS level Battery Limit on all laptops, and instead only for gaming laptops which will be plugged in 24/7 regardless.

Does anyone have any good software to use that could lock a laptops battery charge to a certain percentage? My office space has become more limited, and I found that I can use my laptop as a sudo monitor with the use of a 3rd party tool, but I don't want the battery plugged in 24/7 and having to monitor the battery level all day is pretty tedious. I may just pull the battery out until I need it for a trip which is not all the often, but I probably wouldn't bother looking at a HP again in another year when I would go to upgrade if that's the case and another manufacture has an implantation on all models.

Not all machines have this option. Battery and charger is now smarter than you thought, the changing process will stop when batteries are full. I know some series of HP machines have this option, specially business machines. I believe your machine is not classified as a business machine.

Do you know if the BIOS has a feature to just disable the battery until its turned back on?
