I am having the same problem. I already checked Synaptics website for drivers as well as uninstalled the device and nothing has worked. I also ran HP Image Assistant, have an up to date bios, and have done all Windows driver updates. HP PLEASE HELP!

Hello. The same problem. After "clean" windows 10 (or 11) install fingerprint doesn`t work.

I'm having the same issue. Anybody found out what is driving it?

Think i found a solution. Enter bios (esc, bios setup), find and choose "Reset fingerprint on boot". When you boot up everything would be alright. Maybe at first you must delete Sinaptics from "Device manager" (in Windows)
