Trying to burn a video file to a dual layer 8.5 gb DVD can my pc do this?

Download and run the free Nero Info Tool, and that will let you know what your notebook's DVD drive can do.

 

Nero Infotool - Download (lo4d.com)

 

The download is located on the upper right side of the webpage... large green download rectangle.
