HP TouchSmart 300

My computer (Windows 7 HP TouchSmart300) Has a really bad virus, and I have tried to Reset my computer to Factory condition and is also very slow and won't work good I don't have any money to buy or fix this computer. Is there any way yo remove  the virus/viruses manually?

Hello @BloodyDayz,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I have read your post and understand that there are some issues with installing the HP updates.

I have researched the issue and have come up with a possible resolution.

I believe you are unable to remove the viruses from the PC. Is that, right?

You can try using the Windows Defender which is a built-in Microsoft antivirus program which is robust enough to block all infections from online contents as well as from any external devices.

It’s a freeware and can be updated for the lifetime as long the PC works.

Follow the steps from the link below to check if you can enable the Defender.

Please note that the third-party antivirus software should be uninstalled before enabling the Defender.

I also request you to share any errors you find while executing the above steps.

Hope this fixes the issue. Please share the update of the solution provided.

Thanks I read the information in the link and I had to use Microsoft Security Essentials I am currently doing a scan, last time I tried it I saw little to no difference but maybe because it was a quick scan, this time though I am doing a full scan.

Another great free program for malware issues is "Malwarebytes" from www.malwarebytes.org

I highly recommend this app.
