hp envy laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

when I purchased my laptop in 2013,it came with windows 8 and a full version of ms office 2013. I upgraded to windows 10 in the past, no problems. I recently updated hp simple pass, then the pc could not start at all.Apparently the new version conflicted with the old version. I tried multiple options in the recovery menu to resolve the problem, nothing worked.finally chose to reset with the option of keeping personal files. This worked great, have downloaded all required updates and software, however I cant figure out how to recover the ms office 13 software. There is a file on the desktop titled removed apps with a number called a tel, but I cant do anything with it. Any ideas? Thanks

Hi @xirrix

Welcome to the HP Forums!

Thank you for posting your query in this forum, it's a great place to find answers.

I reviewed your post and I understand that after performing a reset on your computer the Microsoft office software is deleted.

I’d love to help!

I would like to let you know that when you do a reset the computer it will erase all the programs you have installed and put it back to its original factory state.

If Microsoft office was pre-installed on your computer, then I recommend you to do a recovery using recovery media. This will put the computer back to its original factory defaults and also restore all the software and programs that came pre-installed on your computer.

If you do not have the recovery media, you can contact phone support and order one.

Follow below steps to contact phone support.

Step 1. Open link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click on HP contact options - click on Get phone number

Hope this answers your question and you have a great day!

To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.

Take care.
