Good afternoon, I am a college student and I own an HP ENVY x360 15-cn0xxx. I really want to use my computer to take notes. However, I bought the surface pen and I'm running into trouble. I've been using OneNote to take notes and once in a while when I write, the lines become dotted. I have tried running the touchscreen check and I'm sure my touchscreen is working well. I believe that what happens, is that whenever I put my laptop in a notetaking position, the keys are hitting the table and running a command so OneNote leaves the 'drawing mode'. Any solutions/suggestions? I really want to be able to use my computer to take handwritten notes; it is too much work when this starts happening as it slows me down.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that your computer is compatible with HP pen.
Let's try this:

Thank you for posting back.
I suggest you can perform complete system factory recovery which will reinstall windows original software and drivers shipped with the computer.
The HP Cloud Recovery Tool allows you to download recovery software to a USB drive. You can use the downloaded recovery image file in order to install Windows operating system.
