I found the graphics drivers on the HP website for W7 as you showed me. There are three listed.
8.900.7.1000 AMD HD
8.882.2.3000 AMD HD
8.15.10.2476 AMD/Intel Swtchable HD
I have the AMD/INTEL switchable devices on the laptop. I don't think INTEL's 3000 is supported in W10, so the switchable version may not work. You pointed to 55092.exe version 8.882.2.3000. Is this the best for me?

It worked! Sort of. I installed W7 on a formatted/wiped SSD followed by the AMD sp55092 driver file. The laptop arrived at "Starting Windows" with the colorful icon, but it failed and shut down. The next screen was the repair screen. I ran Startup Repair. After a couple of manual restarts, the display was 1920x1280. I right clicked on the screen to check. It restarted and lost the 1920x1280. No restart or repair brought it back. The "Starting Windows" would hang for a long time doing nothing. Half of the time it shut down. I repeated the whole process including formatting. All worked until the laptop went into hibernation. It failed to restart. I'm having to live with a poor Microsoft PnP driver from 2006. Everything is distorted, especially pictures. Even worse, there is no control of the screen brightness. It's 100%. I had to buy an old style screen protector, but it still strains the eyes like with the old CRT tubes. The laptop is nearly unusable at this point. The laptop lasts about 15 min off the charger.
My recommendation to all with an HP (or any PC) is to backup the drivers. There are driver folders in the system32 folder. Search the web to find which folder is best for a backup.
Good luck.

Hi:
I don't believe that upgrading to W11 will make things better.
Your notebook does not meet the W11 hardware requirements, so if you want to try out W11 you would have to use one of the tricks out there to bypass the W11 hardware checks.
This way is the easiest in my opinion...
