Hi everybody,

The center of my laptop screen has a black stripe, 5cm wide, that flashes from the top to the bottom of the screen!

Could anyone help me solving that problem?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Irwin6,

Thanks for your assistance.

I updated the bios, but it didn’t work.

Then, I clicked in the last link you asked me (troubleshooting) and I noticed that flickering screen needs a hardware repair.

It is so sad for me, because I bought my laptop four months ago (on July 2024), in Boston… It is new, I bought it at Microcenter! I live in Brazil and brazilian HP does not give me warranty, because the product was not adquired in Brazil!

Probably, I will not buy a HP laptop next time!

Again, thank you, Sir!

Hi, Mr. Irwin!

I appreciate your atention, thanks!

So, I have bought an external monitor and it worked perfectly, without flickering the screen!

As the external monitor does not flicker, is it possible to identify exactly what is the problem with laptop´s screen?

Thanks again!
