Hi @SalihAy,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I'm sorry to hear about the screen issues you're experiencing—especially with a gaming laptop that you rely on. This kind of flickering can be really disruptive, and it sounds like you’ve already put in a lot of effort to troubleshoot it.

To get a better understanding of your situation:

  1. Have you noticed if the screen flickering is more frequent when the laptop’s temperature gets high or when certain programs are running?
  2. Does the flickering continue if you boot into Safe Mode?
  3. Have you tried connecting the laptop to only an external monitor and keeping the laptop’s display closed?

Here are a few steps you can try to pinpoint and hopefully resolve the issue:

Check the Display Driver for Corruption:

  • Go to Device Manager, find Display Adapters, right-click your GPU driver, and select Uninstall device (do not delete the driver software). Restart your laptop to reinstall the driver automatically.

Disable Adaptive Brightness and Power Settings for the Display:

  • Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings.
  • Look for Display > Enable Adaptive Brightness and turn it off for both On battery and Plugged in.

Check for Interference with Lid Sensors and Disable Lid-Close Action:

  • In Power Options > Choose what closing the lid does, set When I close the lid to Do nothing. This can sometimes prevent the sensor from triggering unexpected actions.

Test with BIOS Display Diagnostics:

  • Restart your laptop and immediately press Esc to enter the startup menu, then press F2 to run System Diagnostics. This can help confirm if the issue is hardware-related.

Adjust Taskbar and Sleep Settings in Registry Editor (Advanced):

  • If the flickering affects your taskbar, it could be a settings issue. Open Registry Editor and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced. Right-click TaskbarAnimations and set it to 0 (to disable taskbar animations) and restart your computer.

If the issue persists, HP phone support might need to closely examine it, especially if it turns out to be a hardware sensor problem.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance

The day i wrote this i cut the external monitor from system and it worked so i didnt want to mess with it and i hadnt time bcs of my midterms.Today i opened my laptop i couldnt reach display and keyboard both of them wasnt working.generally display wasnt showed up and i just hard reset laptop through keyboard but this time i reconnect the external monitor to reach laptop but blinking issue came back with monitor in low frequency i have done what you said but they didnt work.Screen flickering is more frequent when temperature is high.I also notice last my laptops performance is downed like fps drops, slow operations and high temperature on idle (after this problem showed up).Laptop have passed system diagnotics.I also notice that this blinking looks like what is occur when we close lid.I changed lid settings to do nothing when lid closed but when ı close lid like %15 degree between lid and laptop i can see keyboard and display goes off maybe problem can be sensors.I notice that in omen gaming hub my cpu temperature looking 100C with low usage and when ı check through fans, fans blowing cold air so cpu temp sensor showing wrong too.
