Elitebook X360 1030 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

My brightness hotkeys F3/F4 and microphone mute key F8 are not working on my HP Elitebook X360 1030 G2 after Windows 10 1803 update. I tried system restore to undo the update but the problem persists.

I have downloaded the HP Hotkey Support 6.2.39.1 Rev.A, dated 25 Aug 2017 and tried reinstalling but it has not worked. Appreciate any pointers as I really rely on the brightness and mute buttons.

Regards

Hi Paul, Thank you very much. The latest set of Hotkey Support seems to be working. A bit erratic though in terms of consistency but working nonetheless. I will update the post if I have any further issue. Regards

You're very welcome.

I had exactly the same issue, downloaded and installed the hotkey fix you recommended but sadly it did not work for me and my HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2. Everything did work fine until I did a Windows 10 update "Feature update to Windows 10 (consumer editions), version 1803, en-us" and "HP Inc. - HIDCLASS - 8/29/2018 2.1.6.1".

Any advice would be most appreciated.

Thanks

Richard
