HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-dr0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Product name : HP ENVY x360 Convertible 15-dr0xxx

Product number : 8XN38EA#ABU

Software build ID : 19WW1SBT601#SABU#DABU

---------------------------------------

Edition Windows 10 Home
Version 20H2
Installed on ‎10/‎09/‎2020
OS build 19042.685
Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.551.0

----------------------------------------

The brightness control buttons on my Envy laptop do not work, I press them and a bar pops up and shows a change but in reality, the screen brightness is not affected. Sometimes the brightness just changes without my pressing any button.

It's annoying but not critical but a bit disappointed with the product. I am not technical but hoping that there might be a simple update or software fix. I have read some older threads and I have tried updating drivers and I have auto-update installed. I am not techy, is there a simple resolution?

Hi @praveenbv, I have auto-update on and I believe that the BIOS has already been updated, I have only noticed the problem once in the recent past, so I am sure that your recommendation was correct 🙂
